Get Started with SafeShip: Check Before You Ship

SafeShip adds a Weather Forecast block to your Shopify orders, so you can see the expected weather at the delivery location and on the delivery date, right inside the order page.

❓ What is the Weather Forecast block?

The Weather Forecast block shows a 5-day forecast for the delivery address of an order, centered on the customer’s chosen delivery date. Instead of switching between your admin and a weather website, you can check conditions directly from the order and decide whether to ship as planned, reschedule, or add extra protection.

The block helps you:

  • Spot rain, storms, or extreme temperatures before an order leaves your hands

  • Protect weather-sensitive products such as food, flowers, cakes, plants, or electronics

  • Contact customers early when the weather may affect a delivery

Each forecast shows:

  • Delivery date and location: for example, "Delivery Sunday, October 18 - Chicago, IL, 60606"

  • Daily conditions: a weather icon and description (Light rain, Clear sky, Scattered clouds…)

  • Temperature range: the low and high for each day, in °F

💡 On your SafeShip Dashboard, you can also see an hourly and 5-day forecast for your own shop location, so you always know the conditions where you ship from.

⚙️ How to Set Up Weather Forecast

Follow these steps to view the weather for any order:

  1. Step 1: Install SafeShip → Open the Orders page → Select a specific order

  1. Step 2: Add a Block → choose "Weather forecast" → View the forecast
