Time Slots: Let Customers Pick an Exact Delivery or Pickup Window

Use Time Slots in CX Elevate to let customers choose a delivery, pickup, or local delivery window with slot duration, multiple windows.

❓What is Time Slots?

Time Slots add a time picker next to your date picker, letting customers select a delivery, pickup, or local delivery window. This helps you:

• Plan delivery routes and kitchen/production schedules around fixed windows
• Give customers control over when their order arrives
• Manage daily order capacity with limits per slot

Time Slots can be displayed on the Product Page, Cart Page, or Cart Drawer.

Common use cases include:

• Hourly pickup windows: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM in 1 hour slots
• Morning/evening delivery windows: 8:00–10:00 AM and 3:00–8:00 PM
• Local Delivery routes: slots that match your driver schedule
• Capacity control: maximum 20 orders per slot

⚙️ How to Set Up Time Slot

Step 1: Open the app and Activate the Feature

Open the app → go to Settings → Timeslot.
If the Time Slot feature is not active, go to your Theme and turn it ON

Step 2: Add a Time Slot Configuration

In the Time slots tab, click Add a Time Slot Configuration.
There's no limit to how many time ranges you can create the only rule is that time ranges cannot overlap or duplicate.

Step 3: Select Your Time Range

Choose a time range that fits your delivery schedule and routing for example, 11*:00–12:00* for morning routes.

Step 4: Apply to Specific Dates or Days of the Week

Decide when this time slot should be available:

• Specific dates — perfect for holidays, promotions, or one-off events
• All days of the week — ideal for your regular, recurring delivery schedule

Step 5: Set an Order Limit for the Time Window

Click Set Order Limit to cap how many orders can be placed within this time window.

Step 6: Customize the Time Slot Description (Optional)

Add or edit the description shown to customers if needed
Example: "Free delivery", "Express window", or "Limited slots available".

Step 7: Align the Text

Choose how your time slot text is displayed: left, center, or right aligned so it matches your store's look and feel.

Step 8: Save Your Settings

Click Save to instantly apply your customized time slot settings to your Shopify store.

🧩 Advanced Configuration (Optional)

• Multiple windows per day: eg, Morning 8:00 –10:00 AM and Evening 3:00–8:00 PM
• Order limits per slot cap how many orders each slot accepts
• Time Slots for Local Delivery: apply slots, cutoff, and lead time to your Local Delivery schedule (Pro/Elite)

🛠 FAQs

1. I enabled Time Slots but don't see them on the storefront. 

Make sure Time Slots are turned on in app settings and the Time Slot Extension block is added in the Theme Editor. Then check the app embed status in CX Elevate to confirm the picker is live.

2. Can I customize the time slot labels or design?

Yes. The extension is fully customizable in the Theme Editor to match your theme's look and feel. You can also rename fields to match your business (eg, "Delivery Time" → "Event Time").

3. Do Time Slots work with Local Delivery? 

Yes. On Pro and Elite, Time Slots apply to Local Delivery alongside cutoff times, lead times, disabled days, and order limits.

4. Are Time Slots available on the Free plan? 

No. Time Slots require the Pro ($7.99/month) or Elite ($12.99/month) plan. Both include a 7-day free trial.
